Custom-designed to suit your home, Stan Bond’s Straight Drop Awnings are perfectly suited for outdoor entertaining areas, allowing you to happily entertain outdoors whilst enjoying the fresh air in comfort and style. Straight Drop Outdoor Blinds are a versatile, easy-to-use, practical awning well-suited to our Australian outdoor living conditions.

Their special design makes them perfect for outdoor entertaining areas, verandahs, patios or balconies – letting you easily manage the temperature of the indoor and outdoor living areas, keeping you warmer in winter and cooler in summer. They provide protection even when the weather is far from perfect.

Straight Drop Blinds can be raised using a spring assist, crank handle, cord and pulley or motorisation for the most effortless use. This extensive range of options enables Straight Drop Blinds to be custom made to suit most circumstances, including openings up to 5.8m wide. Clips or straps are used with Straight Drop Blinds to secure them at your desired height.

Specially created, latest generation shade mesh fabrics are designed for you to see out during the day and obstruct others’ ability to see in – maximising the sense of space. With holes so small, they allow only 1-5% of light through the fabric, you can provide great protection for your guests from wind, bugs and light showers. Our blinds are created using the very latest cutting and welding technology, ensuring there are no side hems and minimal joins.

Wire Guided Awnings

Perfect for enclosed pergolas, verandahs and alfresco living areas, our Wire Guided Straight Drop Awnings are controlled by neat, stainless steel wire guides. The wires are less obtrusive than the channels used in Ziptrak^®or Zipscreen blinds, making them perfect for areas that require multiple blinds next to each other or minimal obstruction.

Wire Guided Outdoor Blinds can be raised using a spring assist, crank handle or motorisation for ease of use. Wire Guided Straight Drop Awnings will stop at any position.

Wire Guided blinds are often used with Somfy Motorisation as they do not involve any manual locking clips or hold downs. Together with the latest Veue cassette box, this makes it perfect for an outdoor area requiring high end shading solutions.

Straight Drop Blinds are comprised of a piece of fabric attached to an aluminium tube at the top, with a bottom bar encased within a fabric pocket. On Straight Drop Blinds, straps or clips are attached to either end of the bottom rail, which in turn, will clip onto saddles on the post or ground at multiple positions. To raise and lower the blind you simply use your hands, a crank handle, a pull down stick or remote control to lower the blind and clip it into place – or undo the clips and raise the blind up and out of the way. Simple and easy! No Zips or channels.

Wire Guided Straight Drop Verandah Blinds are also composed of a piece of fabric attached to an aluminium tube at the top, with an exposed square shaped bottom bar. The fabric, attached to the bottom rail, runs seamlessly up and down stainless steel wires. Wire Guided Straight Drop Blinds do not require any clips or straps to keep them in place.

With Adelaide’s largest choice of outdoor fabrics, you can choose from our broad range of colours, patterns and textures – including traditional poly-cotton canvas from Hunter Douglas and Brella, the latest generation PVC coated woven polyester mesh, and acrylic fabrics to suit your shade and privacy needs.

Most commonly, Outlook Mode mesh fabrics in solid colours with 1-5% openness are chosen with Straight Drop Blinds to effectively protect from the elements without obstructing your view.

Straight Drop Awnings are most commonly operated manually with a crank gearbox and handle. They can also be operated using spring assist, or motorised and controlled by remote or switch. It doesn’t get much simpler than that!
