Ziptrak Interior Blinds Adelaide

the ultimate blockout blind

Live Comfortably.

A revolutionary blockout interior blind.

Unlike any other product on the market, Ziptrak® Interior is an internal blind with very high room darkening when it is closed. Some light can still show around the edges, such as where window sills are not level. This can be especially obvious once your eyes adjust to the low levels of light. This makes it the perfect product for creating dark spaces for children or shift workers to sleep in, or even darkening home theatre rooms.

The blind system features a track guided system that holds the fabric in side channels. Some light can still show, depending on the fit, the fabric colour and the frame. The patented spring balanced system ensures effortless operation with one glide. This interior blind system also significantly enhances insulation performance, helping reduce heating energy in rooms.

Slim and Discreet System for Modern Homes

Similar to a roller blind, Ziptrak® Interior rolls up and down the window and has a sleek, modern look. The slim and discreet system is designed to complement any space, with side channels that hold the fabric. Some light can still show, depending on the fit and the fabric colour. The blind reduces direct sunlight while creating a barrier of insulation between your room and the outside world, allowing your home to stay cooler in summer and warmer in winter. It also reduces light at the edges and adds privacy, making it ideal for bedrooms, media rooms, and other light-sensitive spaces.

The fabric utilised is available in an extensive range of styles, including blockout blinds and open weave translucent fabric, which controls light and adds aesthetic value to your interiors. With a reflective backing, the blinds also provide excellent heat protection, ensuring a more comfortable life indoors with less money spent on heating and cooling.

With no cords or chains, it's operated without hanging cords or chains and can be used easily by our older generations. Simply hold the bottom bar to lift or lower. It's so light, it can be done with a single finger.

Perfect For Bedrooms

Track Guide

Unique to internal blinds, Ziptrak® Interior can be installed seamlessly onto your existing window frame, ensuring a perfect fit for any setup. Ziptrak® Interior uses a track guided system to lock the interior blind fabric into place. This creates an air pocket between your room and the window, providing exceptional insulation. The channel system ensures smooth operation while limiting light at the sides. Some light can still show, depending on the fit and the fabric colour.

The system's advanced light blocking capabilities allow homeowners to quickly transform a room into a very dark space for a movie or a nap. Some light can remain, depending on the fit and the fabric colour. The track guided system secures the fabric edge, delivering unmatched precision and performance.

Insulation

Ziptrak® Interior uses side tracks to reduce gaps. This creates a pocket of air between your room and the outside world, providing fantastic insulation and helping to reduce your energy bills. When your Ziptrak® Interior is closed, it helps to keep the cold out in winter and the heat out in summer.

Colours

The Ziptrak® Interior framing system is available in white, silver anodised and black. If these colour options don’t suit your space, the framing system can be powder coated in your colour choice for a small additional cost.

Easy To Use

Ziptrak® Interior blinds are as light as a feather and can be operated with ease. Simply lift the bottom bar up or down and the blind will stop at any height. It’s so light, it can be done with a single finger. We do suggest operating the blind from the centre to ensure it rolls evenly.

Ziptrak® Interior can also be motorised.

Family Friendly

With no cords or chains, Ziptrak® Interior is operated without hanging cords or chains. The spring balanced system ensures easy operation without hanging operating cords. Simply hold the bottom bar to lift or lower; the system is so light it can be done with a single finger. Unlike other blinds, there are no flimsy cords to pull, removing the need for hanging operating cords.

The side channels hold the fabric edge and limit light at the sides. They do not remove every gap. Fit, fabric colour and the frame still change the result. An enclosed pelmet at the top provides a seal, preventing both air and light from escaping as easily as a standard roller blind.

Quickly transform your home cinema, living or media room into a very dark space for a movie, within the limits of the fit and the fabric.

As a manufacturer and supplier of the Ziptrak® Interior and Exterior blind, Stan Bond can offer you many more options to help you live comfortably.

Room darkening for bedrooms

Ziptrak® Interior’s track holds the fabric edge and gives very high room darkening. It does not remove every gap. The system creates a sealed surface, which helps block out light and insulates the room effectively. This makes it ideal for bedrooms, home cinemas, and other spaces where light control is important. Its ability to bounce direct sunlight also helps maintain a comfortable temperature indoors.

Designed for Large Windows and Heavy Blinds

Ziptrak® Interior is robust enough to handle large windows and heavy blinds while maintaining its smooth, effortless glide. The system is engineered to reduce light leakage and withstand frequent use. The blinds’ fabric edge is locked into vertical tracks for precision and durability.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is Ziptrak® Interior easy to use?

Ziptrak® Interior is very easy to use. Simply hold the centre of the bottom bar and raise or lower to your desired height. Ziptrak® is as light as a feather and stops at any position, so it can be used by children and older generations with ease. With no chains or cords, Ziptrak® Interior is operated without hanging cords or chains.

How much does Ziptrak® interior cost?

On average, Ziptrak® Interior can cost between $400 to $700 depending on the size of your window.

What colours are Ziptrak® interior available in?

The Ziptrak® Interior system is available in white, black or clear anodised (silver). The pelmet, bottom bar and vertical tracks can also be powder coated to a colour of your choice to match your interior. The fabric insert can be chosen from our wide range of international and Australian internal blind fabrics.

Are Ziptrak® Interior blinds good for insulation?

Yes, Ziptrak® Interior blinds are excellent for insulation. As they use a tracking system that reduces gaps, Ziptrak® Interior creates a temperature barrier between the window and your room. This allows Ziptrak® Interior to have superior insulation properties to lower your energy bills, reduce your environmental impact and make your space more comfortable.

How do I take care of my Ziptrak® Interior?

It is important to take proper care of your blinds to ensure their successful operation and visual condition. See the Ziptrak® Interior user guide for how to operate and maintain your Ziptrak® Blinds.

Can Ziptrak® Interior be installed without a hood?

The hood of the Ziptrak® Interior helps to block out the light. Without the hood, the Ziptrak® Interior will not give the same room darkening. The hood is part of how the blind limits light at the top.

What surfaces can a Ziptrak® interior be mounted to?

A Ziptrak® Interior blind can be mounted to almost any window support structure. Common surfaces include timber, gyprock and plasterboard. Ziptrak® Interior blinds can be installed in the reveal or face fixed.

How much light does a Ziptrak® blockout?

Blocking out light is a difficult challenge since even the smallest crack of light can look very obvious once your eyes adjust to low light conditions. Also different installation surfaces can dramatically change how effective the blinds can be especially where the bottom sill is out of level or bowed, which is common when they are made of timber.

Our expectation is that Ziptrak Blinds provide very high levels of block out so a person can comfortably sleep during the day. We cannot achieve 100% (Zero light) conditions.

Ziptrak & Stan Bond have worked together to have a number of add-on items which are sometimes required after initial installation to improve the light block in specific situations.

The most significant light seepage is caused by the reflection of light coloured fabrics and the headbox. As such customers are recommended to have a black headbox and channels along with dark-coloured fabrics where high levels of blackout are required.
