Sheer Curtains are very on trend at the moment. Beautiful natural sheers and the use of modern linen fabrics can be used on an S Fold or Wave track to create a modern minimalist window covering that adds warmth to the room. Combine the sheer with a plain block out lining behind for a simple, elegant and amazingly versatile solution. It is also common to use a Curtain over a Roller Blinds, Ziptrak Interior or Plantation Shutter.

Shift Workers often want full blackout using blockout fabrics. Stan Bond can offer full blackout curtains and blinds by combining heavy linings or products such as Ziptrak Interior or exterior Roller Shutters. These products combine to provide the blackout shift workers needs providing total darkness even during the day.

We specialise in custom made curtains. We do not offer any pre-made curtains or fabrics. Every curtain and blind are bespoke to suit the measurements and design requirements of your window and home decor.

It is common to have a curtain over the top of a blind in a window. Sheer curtains look great over Roller Blinds, Timber Venetian Blinds and other Indoor Blinds. Roman Blinds can also be made using many of the same fabrics as curtains providing a consistent look across your home.

Most Curtain shops in Adelaide focus on custom made Curtains. Ready made curtains are often mass manufactured by automated machines which means the quality, flatness and look are not as good. The sizes do not match the sizes of windows which can reduce their light and insulation benefits. Often the fabric is a lower quality or seconds grade quality which explains the difference in price. In most cases a ready made curtain is obviously different visually.

The great thing about curtains is that you’re not just investing in something beautiful for your home, you’re also adding practical insulation. Curtains reduce cold and heat but also help to dampen noise. Curtains and Blinds in Adelaide provide benefit in both Summer and Winter.

Continuous Fabrics are normally wide width (2.8m to 3.2m) and manufactured in a manner that allows for no joins in most windows. Most commonly these are sheer fabrics. Non-Continuous fabrics are more traditional narrow widths (1.2m to 1.5m). They are commonly non-blockout fabrics which need to be lined. A Stan Bond consultant will help you to find the right fabric and width for your home.

Sheer Curtain fabrics are most often 2700mm to 3200mm wide. This means they can do a drop of curtain of up to 3100mm without a join. A curtain need approximately 100mm for squaring and bottom hems. If you require a longer drop a false hem or a top join can be used.
