Wire guided straight drop awnings on the balconies of a brick home

Custom made to suit your space

Live Comfortably.

ENJOY THE FRESH AIR AND COMFORT OF THE OUTDOORS, WITH ADJUSTABLE SHADE.

Stan Bond’s wire guided straight drop awnings are used on enclosed pergolas, verandahs and alfresco living areas, including those that cop the west-facing afternoon sun. Stainless steel wire guides control the blind. The wires are less obtrusive than the channels used in Ziptrak outdoor blinds or Zipscreen blinds, which suits a run of blinds next to each other, or an opening with less obstruction. They are one of the styles in our outdoor blinds range.

Custom made awnings to suit your needs

Wire guided outdoor blinds can be raised using a spring assist, crank handle or motorisation. These options let the blinds be custom made to suit the opening, including openings up to 5.8m wide.

Wire guides do not seal the sides like a track-guided system. Wind, rain and insects can enter around the edges. Follow the manufacturer’s weather limits and retract before strong winds or storms when safe to do so.

Motorised options for outdoor areas

Wire guided blinds are often used with Somfy motorisation as they do not involve any manual locking clips or hold downs. Talk to us about a wire guided blind for the opening, or visit our Campbelltown showroom.

What's Popular

The Veue Wire Guide system by Rollease Acmeda, an Australian blind system designer, offers a significant update in styling – elevating the Wire Guide into a modern looking version of the traditional straight drop blind. Stan Bond supplies and installs the Veue Wire Guide system. The cassette is the same contemporary square box used on the Zipscreen outdoor blind.

How Does It Work?

Wire Guided Straight Drop Verandah Blinds are comprised of a piece of fabric attached to an aluminium tube at the top, with an exposed square shaped bottom bar. The fabric, attached to the bottom rail, runs up and down stainless steel wires.

Fabric Options

With a broad choice of outdoor fabrics, you can choose from our broad range of colours, patterns and textures – including traditional poly-cotton canvas from Somerton and Brella, the latest generation PVC coated woven polyester mesh, and acrylic fabrics.

Easy Operation

This wire guided straight drop blind can be raised with a spring assist or a crank handle, or with motorisation controlled by a remote or a switch.
