How to Gain Full Control of Your Motorised Blinds?

The right controls make motorised blinds easier to use. Start with the motor and controller model already installed, or the system named in your quote. Remotes, apps and voice assistants are not interchangeable across every motor range.

Set up the controls that suit your home

A compatible remote may control an individual blind or a configured group. For app control, routines or voice commands, confirm the supported hub, platform and accessories. Follow the instructions for that exact system when pairing controls or changing a schedule.

Keep a record of the motor, remote and hub model names, along with the installer’s handover information. Ask the installer to demonstrate normal operation, stopping the blind and any manual or power-loss procedure supported by the model.

If a blind stops responding

  • Stop using it if the fabric is skewed, the mechanism is obstructed, a fixing is loose or there is unusual noise.
  • Check accessible remote batteries or the normal charging indicator only as described in the manufacturer’s instructions.
  • If app control fails, note the message and check the app or hub’s ordinary connection status.
  • Contact Stan Bond repairs with the model details and a description of the problem. Remote diagnosis may help identify the issue, but a site visit may still be needed.

Do not force the blind, dismantle the motor, apply lubricant or perform an unknown reset sequence. Reset and limit-setting procedures vary and can erase settings or cause incorrect travel. Electrical faults and hardwired work need a licensed electrician.

Planning an upgrade

Confirm whether your existing blind can accept the proposed motor and how it will be powered. A solar accessory, if supported, may charge a rechargeable battery; suitability depends on the model and available light. Ask about charging access and the approved backup procedure.
