Roller shutters are a different product: linked slats that roll up into a box and cover the opening from outside.
Indoor plantation shutters are available in Paulownia timber for non-wet areas, or PVC/Poly, which is better suited to wet areas than timber. Aluminium is used mainly outdoors. With adjustable louvers, plantation shutters offer light control, allowing you to customise the level of natural light and privacy.
